Middle-aged Canadian bachelor farmers Morgan and Angus, friends since boyhood, veterans of WWII, share a mysterious secret. When the routine of their simple lives is disrupted by Miles, a naïve, idealistic young actor seeking material upon which to base a play about farming, their secret is revealed. Or is it? This richly textured and deeply moving play mixes hilarity and heartbreak in a poignant celebration of the human spirit and the power of theatre to provoke change, to encourage healing, and to seek out the truth.
Winner of four 1999 Dora Awards (Canada’s answer to the Tony), and voted one of the 10 best plays of 2001 by Time Magazine.
